Little Sister

Little Sister is an all-day café and bakery serving food and pastries shaped by Puerto Rican, Latin American and tropical flavors. Breakfast pastries, weekend brunch and empanadas with lattes are the everyday draws, with housemade breads and natural juices made from scratch in a small kitchen. On select Thursday nights the kitchen runs a six-course tasting menu with wine pairings, offered by invitation through its email list.

The room is small, casual and lively, with counter service for brunch on Fridays and full table service on Saturdays and Sundays, when reservations aren't taken. Takeout is available, and Sunday evenings bring wine tastings. Parties are capped at five, so larger groups can look into a buyout. There are no high chairs and no strollers inside, and pets aren't allowed, though service dogs are welcome. The café sits on the corner of Hope Street and Rochambeau in Providence.
