Gift Horse is a raw bar in downtown Providence built around local shellfish, seafood and daily catches from New England waters. Its oyster program features oysters harvested from each of Rhode Island's growing regions, and chef Benjamin Sukle draws on long relationships with regional farmers and fishermen. Cocktails by Jen Davis lean low-ABV, with takes on spritzes and martinis inspired by the Italian coast.
Beverage director Bethany Caliaro oversees a wine list of small-scale producers and Champagne, chosen to pair with the raw bar. Esquire named Gift Horse one of its 50 Best New Restaurants in America in 2023. Groups can organize events with the restaurant, and it sits on Westminster Street in downtown Providence.
