Dirt Palace

Dirt Palace is a Providence arts organization that runs artist residencies, exhibitions, and public projects out of the Wedding Cake House on Broadway and a storefront gallery on Olneyville Square. Its work centers on contemporary art practices tied to regional history, with the house also used as a place for artists to live and work during residencies.

The Wedding Cake House operates as a bed and breakfast with several guest rooms, most with private baths, some with queen or king beds and clawfoot or tub bathrooms. Income from the guest rooms helps fund new artistic work and the organization overall. Guests can book directly by email or phone or through Airbnb, and the group also runs tours, open houses, and events at the house.
