CEREMONY

Ceremony is a tea café and shop in Providence, with locations at 406 Brook Street and 121 South Main Street. It serves premium teas alongside coffee and inventive drinks, and sells loose-leaf tea sourced directly from small family-owned farms in China, Taiwan and Japan. Founder Michelle Cheng grew up around tea farmers in Anhui, China, and that focus on direct sourcing shapes the whole business.

Both shops sell tea to take home, and gift cards are available. Tea workshops are offered, and businesses can apply for a wholesale account. Orders can be placed online. Michelle Cheng launched the café in 2019, and it has since grown to two stores.
