Brown University Recreation runs the university's fitness centers, pools, intramural leagues and club sports teams. Its facilities include the Nelson Fitness Center, the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatic Center, the Olney-Margolies Athletic Center and Penner Field House, and its offerings range from group fitness and personal training to aquatics programs.

Students, faculty and staff can join through memberships and use locker and equipment rentals, and community day passes are available for visitors from outside the university. Club sports cover a long list of teams, from ultimate frisbee and rugby to fencing and sailing. The recreation office is in Providence, and the Brown Rec app is available for signing up and checking schedules.
