River Valley Veterinary Service

River Valley Veterinary Service is a full-service small animal hospital for dogs and cats, founded in 1983 by Dr. Bruce Viren and Dr. Cindy Sellin as an equine ambulatory practice before it grew into the clinic it is today. The practice has eight veterinarians and covers preventive wellness, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, regenerative therapy and end-of-life care. It is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association and holds Cat Friendly Certified Gold status, and some team members are Fear Free certified.

The clinic is at Jordan Avenue in Prior Lake and serves pet owners in Savage, Lakeville, Shakopee, Burnsville, Jordan and New Prague. Its sister business, River Valley Groom & Board, handles grooming, boarding and doggy daycare, and the site lists urgent care for same-day needs. Appointments can be booked online, and the clinic has a separate line for the grooming and boarding side.
