The Portsmouth Ohio Brewing Company

The Portsmouth Ohio Brewing Company is a brewpub that makes its own beer in an on-site micro brewery. Its flagship is Portsmouth Pilsner, a traditional German lager with Czech Saaz hops, and Red Bird Ale, a California common style steam ale named for the 1939 Portsmouth minor league baseball team. The menu also covers burgers, pizza, salads, pasta, sandwiches and a kids' menu, with several seasonal brews on tap alongside the core three.

The brewery is at 224 Second Street in Portsmouth, Ohio, and the beers are served on draught, so most visitors come in to eat and drink at the bar or tables. The kitchen runs through the afternoon and evening, with the brewpub open daily from late morning until 9 or 11 PM depending on the day.
