The Press Room

The Press Room is a bar, restaurant and live music venue in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, open since November 1976. It is known for live music almost every night of the week, from local acts to national touring bands, along with traditions like Hoot Night, the Sunday Jazz Series and a Tuesday night jazz jam. The menu covers casual lunch, dinner and late night snacks.

Downstairs is the bar and dining room, with a corner booth under the staircase and high-top seating, while the upstairs room hosts shows with a newer sound system and views of the stage. The space also hosts private parties and work functions, and the kitchen takes reservations for groups of six or more.
