Cava Tapas & Wine Bar

Cava is a Mediterranean small plate restaurant in downtown Portsmouth, known for its wine selection and its Vertical Garden. The menu moves from Spain to the Middle East, with modern and classic dishes and authentic Lebanese family recipes. The fall menu includes Spanish chorizo, patatas bravas, paella, and grilled flank steak alongside dishes like sumac cauliflower and hummus.

The restaurant has two bars, one at street level and one in its Wine Cave, and pours more than fifty international wines by the glass. The cocktail list changes often. Cava is on Commercial Alley, a short walk from the Portsmouth Parking Garage, and is open most evenings from Wednesday through Sunday. In summer, guests can dine under New England's first native outdoor living wall.
