The Golden Egg Diner serves breakfast and lunch with classic diner dishes and daily specials, seven days a week. Regulars come for the omelettes, home fries, and monkey bread French toast, and the case at the entry holds baked goods like coffee cake, muffins, oversized cinnamon rolls, carrot cake, and lemon bars.

The diner was a popular breakfast spot for nearly four decades before the Scarlotto family took it over in 2019 and reopened it on Mirona Road in Portsmouth. Orders can be placed online for pickup or delivery, and the restaurant also hosts parties such as birthdays, rehearsal dinners, and corporate events.
