National Wrecker Service

National Wrecker Service is a towing and roadside assistance company founded in 1974, handling emergency vehicle service, heavy-duty hauling and recovery across New England. Its work runs from light-duty tows and jump starts to heavy-duty towing of semi-trucks, buses and garbage trucks, plus lowboy and landoll transport of construction equipment up to 55 tons, crane and rotator work, and winching.

The company also runs a shop for diesel truck, trailer and mobile truck repair, and sells and services commercial tires from brands including Michelin, Bridgestone and Continental. Service calls are answered around the clock, and the company offers free estimates. Its Portsmouth shop is on West Road, with a second location in Eliot, Maine.
