A Merrie Sweepe Chimney Service

A Merrie Sweepe is a chimney service company that sweeps chimneys, repairs masonry, installs chimney liners and caps, and cleans dryer vents. The company also removes animals from chimneys, installs wood, gas and pellet stoves and fireplaces, and offers video inspections of chimney interiors. Inspections are a common request during home purchases, and the company recommends a yearly chimney inspection.

The business was founded in 1983 and is family-owned, with ownership passed to the next generation in 2020. It works mainly across the Greater Seacoast area of New Hampshire and takes on larger projects further afield. The main office is in Portsmouth, and the warehouse is in Greenland. Appointments are scheduled on weekdays, and the office keeps shorter hours on weekends.
