K10 Academy Dog Training

K10 Academy Dog Training is a private dog training practice in Portland run by co-owners Ray and Alyda Garcia. It focuses on reactive dogs, rescue dogs, puppies, separation anxiety and general behavior, with programs built around each dog's behavior, lifestyle and goals rather than a fixed template. Rescue dogs are a particular specialty, and the trainers volunteer weekly at Oregon Dog Rescue.

All training is by appointment and takes place in person, either at the Portland training location or in public spaces around the city. Sessions can be booked as short jump-start packages or as longer programs of five to eight sessions. Families can start with a phone call to talk through a dog's situation before choosing a fit. The Adventure Dog program takes dogs out on trails, streets and parks, with pickup or drop-off available. The office is on Southeast Main Street in Portland.
