Balanced Pack K9 Training

Balanced Pack K9 Training is a Portland dog trainer led by Ren Marshall, known for helping owners with leash reactivity, pulling on walks, jumping, and recall problems. Ren uses balanced dog training, which draws on the four quadrants of operant conditioning to show dogs which behaviors are wanted and which are not. Many clients arrive after positive reinforcement alone has brought limited results, and Ren's background includes years of horsemanship alongside dog work.

Sessions include private lessons, board and train programs, and virtual coaching, and a free 20-minute consultation can be requested through the contact form. In-person work happens in Portland, with in-home training offered in Vancouver, Beaverton, and Gresham. Owners who want to start at home can take the 90-minute online course Calm On Command, which covers gentle leash pressure and the heel command.
