DOG BASICS PDX

DOG BASICS PDX is a dog behavior training business that builds customized plans to address problems like jumping, barking, leash pulling, resource guarding and aggression. Training uses positive reinforcement methods, and the approach focuses on the root causes of a dog's reactions rather than only stopping the symptoms.

Clients can book a free consultation to talk through goals and see whether the training is a good fit. Sessions are one-on-one, many take place in the dog's home, and training can also happen at a coffee shop or local park. Puppy packages and a five-session plan for newly adopted rescue dogs are offered, and board and train programs are available from $2,500 per week. The business is based in Portland, Oregon.
