Auto repair in Portland

Auto repair shops diagnose and fix problems with your vehicle, from a warning light that won't go away to routine maintenance that keeps it running well. Common services include engine diagnostics, brake work, oil changes, tire repair, battery replacement, transmission service and suspension repair. Before you choose one, ask for a written estimate and confirm what the diagnostic fee covers, since many shops credit it toward the repair. It also helps to ask whether parts are new, rebuilt or used, and what warranty applies. For non-urgent work, call a few days ahead to book a slot, and avoid waiting until a breakdown forces the issue.
