The Merchant Co.

The Merchant Co. is a handmade arts, crafts and vintage shop that sells work from many local makers. The shop stocks vintage housewares, handmade clothing, sculpture and pottery, letterpress posters and cards, organic body care, and jewelry, alongside prints, stickers, pins and home decor from independent designers and artists.

The store is owned and run by three Maine designers, and it has been open since June 2011. Shoppers can find it on Congress Street in Portland, in the arts district. Its website lists vendor work from across Maine and beyond, and the shop is open year round.
