Handmade ceramics, jewelry and sustainable goods from makers5 South Street, Portland, ME

Ember is a collaborative shop that carries handmade ceramics, jewelry and apparel from emerging designers and sustainable brands. It was founded by Tanja Cesh of MULXIPLY and Kristen Camp of Campfire Pottery, and the shelves showcase both of their own collections alongside other makers they admire. Campfire Pottery makes high-end handmade ceramics for entertaining, and MULXIPLY is a lifestyle line that partners with artisans in Nepal on jewelry, apparel and children's items.
The shop is open Wednesday through Saturday, and it is closed Sunday through Tuesday. It sits in the Arts district at the western end of Portland's Old Port, reached off Pleasant Street. Event listings for the fall and winter season are said to be coming soon.
