Puppets in Portland

Puppets in Portland is a biennial, city-wide festival of international puppetry in Portland, Maine, produced by Mayo Street Arts. Its lineup pairs visiting companies from India, Denmark, North Carolina, Oregon and other places with Maine troupes such as Shoestring Theater and Stop Puppeting Yourself Puppet Co. Because the festival returns every two years, each edition brings a fresh mix of performers.

Advance tickets are sold through PortTIX, and advance sales close two hours before each event. Some tickets may also be bought at the door, depending on availability. Visitors who want to know more about a particular artist can find details on that performer's events before buying.
