Over 33 taps and 170 bottles of beer from around the world4 Canal Plaza, Suite 1, Portland, ME

Novare Res Bier Café is a beer bar in Portland with more than 33 taps and over 170 bottles, including cask-conditioned CAMRA-certified ales from Britain, German biers, and an emphasis on Belgian-style beer. The menu is built around beer from around the world, and the bar also serves a simple food menu highlighting meats and cheeses.
The bar is a family-run place opened in 2008 by Eric and Julie Michaud, who built out the space with family and friends. It has a large outdoor patio and light beech wood tables and bar tops. Babies are welcome, and kids are welcome in general, but dogs are not allowed except service dogs. It is entered through the alley-way at 50 Exchange St, by the Key Bank sign, and the kitchen is open until 11 PM daily.
