Gowen Power Systems

Gowen Power Systems sells, installs and services backup generators for homes and businesses, with Kohler generators as its specialty. The company also services generators from many other brands and offers standard and custom maintenance programs. Its roots go back to 1969, when it began as a division of Gowen Marine servicing generators on commercial ocean vessels in Portland Harbor.

The company's team includes factory-trained technicians, and a live person answers the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Gowen serves customers across southern and coastal Maine and has installed generators in Massachusetts and New Hampshire as well. Its office and service base is at 41 Evergreen Dr in Portland, and it also runs a sister electrical contracting business, Northeast Electric.
