Equality Community Center

The Equality Community Center is a collaborative workplace and community center for LGBTQ+ and allied social justice nonprofits, the first of its kind in Maine. It houses several tenant organizations, including EqualityMaine, PFLAG, Pride Portland! and Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine, and hosts partner groups such as Maine Gay Men's Chorus and a range of support and recovery meetings.

The center has about 22,000 square feet of office, meeting and event space over three floors, served by an elevator. Visitors use the ramp-accessible rear-left entrance and ring the doorbell to be let in. Space can be rented, the Safe Combinations thrift store run by MaineTransNet is open in the building on weekday afternoons, and a self-serve cafe, reading room and lending library are on site.
