Central Coast Kayaks runs guided kayak tours along the Central Coast, including a shell beach wildlife tour, a cave excursion through arches, sea caves and rock gardens, and a Morro Bay harbor wildlife tour that spots sea otters, harbor seals and sea lions. Gear rental and a retail shop sell surfboards, paddleboards, paddles, PFDs, wetsuits and accessories. The company has operated since 1993, and the cave tour is guided by staff with more than 30 years of experience.

Tours start at $80 and include a photo package and all equipment, and the shell beach tour requires kayaking and swimming experience. Gift cards are available for the holidays. The shop is at 1879 Shell Beach Road in Pismo Beach, and the company says it is a locally owned, family-minded team of lifelong paddlers.
