Grocery & markets in Philadelphia

Grocery stores and markets help you stock up on everyday food and household items, and many also carry local products, snacks, cold drinks and hot food for a quick meal. Some take pre-orders, and a few offer custom flower arrangements and bouquets, which is handy for gatherings. When choosing one, call ahead to ask whether they take pre-orders and how far in advance, especially for specialty items or flowers. Check the listed hours before you go, since smaller markets often close earlier than grocery chains, and ask about any local products you want so you know they are in stock that day. In Philadelphia, that quick call can save a trip.
