The Local is a farm-to-table sandwich, salad, bowl and smoothie spot in Petaluma, built around produce and goods from nearby farms and changing with the seasons. The menu includes house-made focaccia and dutch crunch sandwiches such as the Petaluma Della, a Cubano and a pastrami sandwich, plus a Japanese-style cucumber salad, teriyaki and classic rice bowls, and fruit smoothies made with non-dairy milk. Co-owners Raul Lopez and Chris Osborne opened the business in 2022 to bring a sustainable approach to Petaluma's food scene.
