Divine Dance Arts

Divine Dance Arts is a dance studio in Pearland that teaches ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop and creative dance to students of many ages. The studio stages a formal production every other year, with informal demonstrations in the off years, and its Competition Team takes part in five or six local spring competitions. Crystal Buchman, the director, launched the studio in 2005 and teaches alongside a staff of instructors.

Classes are kept small, with caps of 8 students for ages 3 to 4, 10 for ages 5 to 7, and 12 for ages 8 and up. The studio floors are floating to reduce injury risk, and each room has observation windows so parents can watch. Students can audition for solo, duet or trio feature parts in the formal shows. Desk staff help with questions during office hours, and studio space is available to rent.
