College of the Desert

College Golf Center is the golf practice facility of College of the Desert, built around a driving range with separate areas for putting and chipping. Golfers can hit premium balls from the range, practice from bunker sand, and take golf instruction on site.

The center sits in Palm Desert just off Fred Waring Drive and San Pablo Avenue. Range buckets come in small (50 balls) and large (90 balls) sizes, and only debit and credit cards are accepted. Parking costs $1 and is paid by scanning the QR code at the lot with your license plate number. The center is closed for maintenance from May 11 through fall 2026, and hitting off the green is limited to team members and students taking lessons from outside pros.
