Harper College

Harper College is a community college that has offered associate degrees, certificate programs and transfer preparation since it opened in 1967. It is named for William Rainey Harper, the first president of the University of Chicago, and serves about 26,500 students a year across Chicago's northwest suburbs. Programs range from career and workforce training to continuing education and accelerated degree options for adults.

New and current students can get help from the One Stop, academic advisors, the Tutoring Center and Tech Support. The campus also has a library, a Health and Recreation Center, a bookstore, a massage therapy clinic and a dental hygiene clinic, along with a Starbucks and the Cockrell Dining Hall. The main campus is at 1200 West Algonquin Road in Palatine.
