Ernie's Auto Repair

Ernie's Auto Service is an auto repair shop known for failed emissions repairs, oil changes and general mechanical work on cars, trucks and SUVs, including foreign models. Its technicians are ASE certified, and the shop uses name-brand parts as an authorized NAPA dealer.

Appointments can be made by phone, though a customer once had a towed car fixed in a single day without one. The owner, Chris, is on site most days, and his wife often works in the office. Pets are welcome, so customers can bring their animals along when dropping off or picking up a vehicle. The shop is on West Colfax Street in Palatine.
