Korean American Martial Arts Academy

Korean American Martial Arts Academy teaches Korean Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kumdo (Gumdo) to children, teens and adults. Master Frank R. Nelson, a 9th Dan black belt who has trained in martial arts since 1975, leads the school, and the instructors are certified through the Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters. Training emphasizes self-discipline, self-defense, physical fitness and focus.

Classes are unlimited with no contracts, and the academy takes students from age 4 up. New students can arrange a trial lesson with a free uniform by phone. The school is on East Michigan Street in Orlando's 32812 area, at the corner of Conway and Michigan next to LA Fitness, and it draws families from Conway, East Orlando and nearby neighborhoods.
