The Colonial Inn

The Colonial Inn is a historic hotel on the Shore Road side of Ogunquit, Maine, that has been operating since 1886. It is a collection of four buildings with a range of rooms, from the Queen Anne Victorian Main Inn to the Shorebirds and Garden Grove buildings, plus Beach Rose apartment-style units with kitchenettes for longer stays. Guests get a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, a fire pit, lawn games and a wrap-around porch.

Every stay includes a complimentary continental breakfast, parking, WiFi and access to the service bar. The inn sits between downtown Ogunquit and Perkins Cove, a few minutes' walk from the start of Marginal Way and about ten minutes from the beaches. In summer a trolley stops out front, so guests can leave the car parked. Packages are offered for anniversaries, birthdays and longer stays.
