Tri-City and Sharp HealthCare partnership

Sharp Tri-City Medical Center is a hospital in Oceanside that Sharp HealthCare took over in July 2026 after a voter-approved initiative. It offers emergency care, primary care, cancer treatment, heart and vascular care, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, and mental health services. Sharp plans to bring back labor and delivery in the coming months and expand cancer care, with more than $100 million going into infrastructure and seismic upgrades.

Patients keep their current providers and care teams, and current health plan ID cards remain in use for now. Lab work is available if your insurance is accepted, so it helps to check coverage with your plan first. Appointments and rescheduling go through your provider's office, and medical records requests can be faxed, emailed or mailed to the records department. Shuttles and golf carts help visitors reach the front of the hospital.
