Oakland Pet Care

Oakland Pet Care is a referral service that matches North Oakland dogs with vetted dog walkers and trainers. Its main offerings are off-leash group hikes on the Oakland Hills trails, on-leash group walks in Rockridge, and a Train-to-Trail program that prepares dogs for off-leash hiking. It also refers basic manners training. The walkers are Dog Walking Academy certified, and the trainers use force-free methods.

You schedule walks and training directly with the person you are referred to, so the office is not the point of contact for day-to-day bookings. Groups are kept small. The company is accepting new clients with dogs 60 pounds and under in Rockridge, Temescal, and Elmwood. Office hours are weekdays, and the owner, Delia Burdeyney, oversees the walkers on the roster.
