Jewelry in Oakland

Jewelry shops help with the pieces you wear every day and the ones you want to keep for good. Many offer engagement rings and wedding bands, while others focus on repair work such as prong and chain fixes, pearl restringing, watch repairs, and restoration of older pieces. Some also do custom design or written appraisals for insurance. When you choose one, ask whether the repair is done in-house or sent out, and how long it will take. For appraisals, confirm the appraiser's credentials and whether the report is accepted by your insurer. Ask for a written estimate before any work begins, and book ahead for custom design, since those projects take the longest.
