Stems & Skins is a neighborhood bar and restaurant in Park Circle serving low-intervention wines, classic cocktails and beer from around the world. The kitchen puts out a nightly dinner selection of Mediterranean-style plates, tinned seafood, charcuterie and cheese. The wine program has drawn press attention, including a 2026 James Beard Award semifinalist mention for Outstanding Wine Program and a spot on Food & Wine's list of the most important natural wine bars in the US.
The bar has been open since 2016 and runs a weekly rhythm of events, including happy hour on weekdays, vinyl night on Thursdays and Sunday meatballs. Stems & Skins also sells gift cards and runs a wine club. It sits on East Montague Avenue in North Charleston, and the kitchen closes earlier than the bar on most nights.
