Extra Virgin Oven

Extra Virgin Oven is an artisan bakery known for its cookies, including chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, peanut butter and a seasonal monster cookie. The case also holds Danish, croissants in flavors like bacon and cheddar and everything, brownies, cupcakes, coffee cake, lemon scones and blueberry muffins, and fresh cinnamon rolls come out on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is the bakery side of Evo Pizzeria, started by owners Matt McIntosh and Ricky Hacker, who developed the EVO concept in Charleston.

Monday is the only day closed, and the bakery keeps morning and early afternoon hours the rest of the week. Large orders need 48 hours' notice and are arranged by phone. Coffee and espresso come from King Bean Coffee Roasters and Foresight Coffee Roasters, and bread is delivered from Brandon's Bread on Fridays. The owners say they buy from local farms and producers whenever possible.
