Foltos Tonsorial Parlor

Foltos Tonsorial Parlor is a barbershop serving the whole family, with haircuts for kids and adults and a barber school run alongside the shop. The parlor also sells hair products and gift certificates, and it is best known locally for Chop Around the Clock, a 24-hour haircutting event held each June to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.

Since the event began, it has raised more than $400,000 to help families stay near their hospitalized children. Visitors can take part with a haircut, a cookout, a bake sale, raffle tickets or volunteer time, and the event runs through the night. Gift certificates work well for anyone shopping for a friend. The shop is in Batavia.
