Braids by Ami

Braids by Ami is a women-focused braiding studio offering authentic African braiding, from traditional styles to modern protective hairstyles. The owner brings over 11 years of professional braiding experience, with work in the Chicago and Naperville areas. Services include knotless braids, boho braids, box braids, Senegalese twists, crochet braids, passion twists, freestyle designs and kids' braids, with pricing that depends on braid size, length and style.

Appointments are required and are booked through the studio's online booking page, with a deposit due for new clients. Many services ask clients to supply their own curly, boho or human hair, and new clients can arrange a paid in-person consultation. The studio is located inside Sola Salons at Geneva Commons in Geneva, Illinois, and is open late on Saturdays. Men's hairstyling is not offered at this time.
