Schooners Grill serves a broad menu of seafood, Mediterranean-style plates, burgers, sandwiches and hand-made pizzas, with a fried seafood feast, Chesapeake Bay crab cakes and house-made beer-battered fish among the signature items. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday mornings, and the bar keeps a full beer menu for guests 21 and older.

No reservations are needed or taken, so walking in is the norm. The restaurant also does outside catering, and a catering menu is available on request. Live music and DJs appear on the events calendar on some weekends, and the grill is at 12567 Warwick Blvd in Newport News.
