Real estate in New York City

Real estate businesses help people buy, sell, rent or value a home, and many also advise on investment property. Common services here include buyer and seller representation, home valuation, property listings, and help with downsizing or luxury homes. Each agent works for one side of a deal, so ask early whether they represent you as buyer or seller and how they are paid. Before you commit, ask for recent sales they have closed in the neighborhood you care about, and whether they are licensed in New York. Contact agents well ahead of your timeline, since good ones fill up fast.
