Cat rescue, adoption, and a secondhand thrift store8911 Jefferson Highway, River Ridge, LA
SpayMart is a nonprofit cat rescue and adoption organization in Greater New Orleans, established in 1998 to reduce companion animal overpopulation across Southeastern Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. It places adoptable cats and kittens, runs a kitten foster program, and offers senior cat programs and low-cost spay and neuter resources.
SpayMart's thrift store and adoption center sits on Jefferson Highway in River Ridge, where shoppers can browse secondhand goods and meet adoptable cats in an on-site habitat. Shopping hours run Tuesday through Saturday, and donations are accepted during set drop-off hours. Cat adoption is handled separately through the adoption team, so visitors should contact them to learn the next steps.
