Sisters in Christ is a record shop on Magazine Street in New Orleans that stocks contemporary punk, indie, hardcore and metal alongside a collection of oddball and classic records. Vinyl and cassettes are sold both new and used, and the shop also carries books and zines focused on radical and anarchist literature, graphic novels, classics and punk ephemera.
The shop buys used records, tapes, punk shirts and comics, and will come to a customer's home if that's more convenient. It is open every day from noon to six, and the staff say they release a yearly 45 for Record Store Day with unreleased tracks, pressed in runs of 500 and sold only through the shop. Past releases can be streamed on its Bandcamp page.
