New Orleans ramen bar serving pork broth bowls4518 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA
Nomiya is a New Orleans ramen bar on Magazine Street in Uptown. Its bowls are built on a rich, creamy pork broth simmered for 24 hours, served with sweet braised pork, scallions and a soy marinated egg. Three broth styles are offered: the classic Tonkotsu, the spicy Geki Kara and the garlicky Kuro. Soups can be customized with extra toppings, and an off-menu veggie ramen is available for guests who don't eat pork.
The shop is walk-in only, so guests add their name to a list rather than booking ahead. Online ordering for pickup and delivery runs through Toast. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday and on Sunday, closed Mondays, with later hours on Friday and Saturday. The shop is about 1,100 square feet near the corner of Magazine and Jena streets.
