Hotel Villa Convento

Hotel Villa Convento is a small guest house in the French Quarter, housed in a Creole townhouse that dates back to the 1830s and is rumored to be the legendary House of the Rising Sun. Rooms range from suites and balcony rooms to courtyard queen rooms, loft rooms with three twin beds, multi-bed rooms for families and friends, and a smaller budget room. Guests can enjoy chicory coffee in the courtyard or sit on a balcony above Ursulines Street.

The hotel is steps from the French Market and the Mississippi River, and it is run by members of the Campo family, seventh-generation New Orleanians. The property is currently undergoing a full renovation, with guests expected to return in October 2026. Reservations are made through the hotel's website.
