Historic New Orleans hotel, museum and event venue in a landmark home2306 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, LA

Degas House is a historic hotel and museum in New Orleans, set in a landmark home once owned by the Musson family and later used as a finishing school for young women. The guest rooms on the second and third floors are named for the Musson-Degas family, and the house is also a documented site connected to the painter Edgar Degas. Visitors can book overnight stays, host weddings and events in the grand parlors and courtyard, or take a tour of the house.
The house is one of only two Maison des Illustres in the United States, a designation that came up when President Macron visited. Wedding and event inquiries go through a separate events contact from the hotel line, and tours and art classes are listed on the site. Reservations can be checked online. The house sits on Esplanade Avenue, one of the city's well-known historic avenues.
