Paella and tapas with a New Orleans accent720 Dublin Street, New Orleans, LA

Barcelona Tapas is a Spanish restaurant in Uptown New Orleans known for paella and tapas, served with what the owner describes as a New Orleans accent. The menu also includes garlic shrimp pasta, a chef pasta, rack of lamb chops and a 16 oz rib eye served with Spanish fries. The kitchen is run by chef and owner Xavier Laurentino, who grew up in Navarra and is the restaurant's only Spanish chef in the city, and the interior is modeled on the taverns of Barcelona, with a bar inspired by the architect Antoni Gaudi.
Reservations are taken only for parties of 10 or more with a preset menu. The restaurant is casual, with no tablecloths, and it hosts private parties in a covered patio seating up to 50, a private room for up to 20, or the whole restaurant for up to 100. The team can also cater events at other venues. Dinner is served Thursday through Sunday evenings, and the restaurant is on Dublin Street in the Riverbend area.
