The Redbird Listening Room

The Redbird Listening Room is a family-operated music venue in New Braunfels that puts songwriters center stage, with each performer playing their own songs and telling the stories behind them. Shows feature local and touring artists, along with well-known veterans and up-and-coming musicians. Thursday Songwriter Nights let performers play two original songs, and the Songwriter Series offers intimate solo and duo acoustic shows.

This is a listening room, so once the music starts, talking is not allowed, and the venue asks parents to judge whether younger concertgoers are ready for that. Tickets are sold only through the venue and are non-transferable, and sold-out shows have an online waitlist. Ramblers, sodas, coffee and charcuterie plates are sold on site, and guests may bring their own beer or wine, though no alcohol is sold. A $10 per group corkage or cooler fee applies to most ticketed shows.
