The store is a member of the American Gem Society and has been in business since 1879, making it the oldest known continuing retail business in Murfreesboro.
The shop moved to its current location on NW Broad Street in 1998 and has front door parking for customers. Its hours are weekdays and Saturday, with Sunday closed. Owners Lisa Halliburton and Greg Tidwell took over the business in 2007.
