Farm brewery making seasonal beers from its own cropsMonkton, MD
Inverness Brewing is a farm brewery on Inverness Farm, a 100-acre historic farm in Monkton, Maryland. The brewery focuses its beers on seasonal ingredients under a "Crop to Keg" approach, and the farm is home to black Angus cattle, hop plants, seasonal crops and a dog named Folly. Brewing began in August 2018, and the business describes itself as the first Baltimore County farm brewery.
The taproom is open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 8 PM and is closed on Christmas Day. Growlers, crowlers and six-packs are available to go. Seating includes a lawn outside the barn and covered spaces in the tap room, stall barn and basement of the main barn, and there is a fire for cooler weather. Dogs are not allowed in the taproom, so leave pets at home. The brewery is at the corner of Monkton Road and Markoe Road.
