Charles Shoe Daddy is a shoe shine and repair shop run by Charles Palmer, who started shining shoes at age 8 and has done it for nearly 60 years. The shop offers shoe and boot shines, dye jobs, suede and exotic leather cleaning, and full or half soles and heels for leather, rubber, Vibram, Birkenstock and western boots, along with work boot repairs.
Repairs take a minimum half payment up front, and the shop is not responsible for items left longer than 30 days. Free pick up and delivery is offered on five pairs or more for business accounts. The shop is at 4009 W. North Ave. in Milwaukee and works by appointment Monday through Saturday, so call ahead before stopping in.
